Terms of service - Cut Optimiser

Last updated: 12 October 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Cut Optimiser add-on for Google Sheets (the “Add-on”), provided by Ursa fab. (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By installing or using the Add-on, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use it.

1. What the Add-on does

Cut Optimiser helps users organize stock and inventory information and generate cutting plans and related layouts from spreadsheet data. Its results depend on the information, settings, and assumptions supplied by the user.

2. Permission to use

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Add-on for your personal or internal business purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, sublicense, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from the Add-on except where applicable law permits or we give written permission.

3. Your spreadsheets and responsibility for results

You retain responsibility for your spreadsheets, their contents, and any decisions made using the Add-on. The Add-on may read spreadsheet data and create or modify spreadsheet content to provide its features. Keep backups of important data before using it.

Review cutting plans, dimensions, quantities, material selections, and other outputs before relying on them. Results may be incomplete or incorrect if inputs are missing, inaccurate, or unsuitable. The Add-on is not a substitute for professional engineering, safety, manufacturing, or other expert review. You are responsible for confirming that any plan is appropriate and safe for its intended use.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

- Use the Add-on unlawfully or in a way that violates another person’s rights.

- Attempt to disrupt, damage, or gain unauthorized access to the Add-on, Apps Script, Google Sheets, or related systems.

- Use the Add-on to process data you are not authorized to access.

- Misrepresent the Add-on’s output as professionally certified or independently verified.

5. Data and privacy

The Add-on operates on spreadsheet content and settings needed to provide its features. Our collection, use, retention, and disclosure of information, if any, are described in our Privacy Policy: https://ursafab.co.uk/privacy/.

Google’s services are subject to Google’s own terms and privacy practices. We do not control Google Sheets, Google Apps Script, or their availability.

6. Availability and changes

We may update, suspend, or discontinue the Add-on or any feature at any time. We do not guarantee that the Add-on will always be available, error-free, or compatible with every spreadsheet or Google account configuration.

We may revise these Terms by posting an updated version at https://ursafab.co.uk/terms/. The updated Terms apply from their stated effective date. Continued use after that date means you accept the revised Terms.

7. Intellectual property

The Add-on, including its software and branding, is owned by Ursa fab. or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership to you. You retain rights to the spreadsheet content you provide.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

To the extent permitted by law, the Add-on is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Ursa fab. will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, business, or production arising from or related to your use of the Add-on.

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for claims relating to the Add-on or these Terms will not exceed the amount you paid to use the Add-on in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

10. Suspension or termination

You may stop using the Add-on at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or if needed to protect users, the Add-on, or our systems. Sections that by their nature should continue—including intellectual property, disclaimers, and liability limits—will survive termination.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. The courts located in England will have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rights you have under local law.
